Hugh Masekela is a man of many talents but is most noted for being a great jazz trumpeter. His latest album Jabulani is a collection of traditional South African wedding songs. Unlike his past albums this one has a mix of jazz, pop, and African sounds and has less trumpet playing and more vocals for Masekela. Jubulani has many songs that portray all of the emotions experienced by someone on their wedding day or someone getting married. The emotions of the songs are joyous, doubtful, apprehensive, and exciting. The album is a celebration itself and definitely a must have for any jazz collection.
