Strictly Hip Hop is a program that has aired on WEAA’s 88.9 FM for 22 years. We exist to introduce, and preserve the urban hip hop culture to a vast demographic. The show contains various segments including: Question of the Week, The Test Bin, news, Changing the Game, One 2 Flow On, and mixes from local DJ’s. Our staff consists of Morgan State University Alum and current Morgan State University students in addition to freelance hip hop enthusiast throughout the Baltimore Hip Hop scene.
Strictly Hip Hop is held in high regard, as we are the longest running hip hop show in the state of Maryland. The efforts of the SHH team were recently recognized by the City Paper's 2010 Best of Baltimore Awards, the 2011 Baltimore Music Awards for "Radio host of the year," 2011 Baltimore Crown "Special Appreciation" and more! The show is constantly changing to stay relevant with the evolution of hip hop, while still accommodating our already colorful demographic.
