Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh's spokesman stepped down on the same day he was publicly introduced. Former city police officer Darryl Strange was still in the process of being vetted when questions arose about lawsuits stemming from his five-years with the Police Department.
Between 2006 and 2011 the city settled two lawsuits against Strange totaling nearly 80-thousand-dollars and there was an allegation involving a traffic stop which was dismissed.
