Baltimore Issues Code Blue Alert

Baltimore City has declared a Code Blue Alert through Friday because of the bitterly cold weather. The City Health Department says its emergency shelters are open for those in need of a warm place to stay.  Last winter there were 34 Code Blue days and four hypothermia-related deaths in Baltimore City. 

Cummings Urges Support For Red Line 

Supporters of the proposed Red Line light rail gathered Wednesday to discuss the status of the $3 billion dollar project to connect Woodlawn and Baltimore's east side.  According to The Baltimore Sun, Maryland U.S. Congressman Elijah Cummings said he has no reason to believe that Governor-elect Larry Hogan would cut the project, but those favoring the Red Line should do everything they can to make their support known.

March Trial Date Set For Ex-Ravens Cheerleader 

The former Ravens cheerleader accused of raping a teenager in Delaware will stand trial March 23. Molly Shattuck, the ex-wife of former Constellation Energy CEO Mayo Shattuck, is accused of buying alcohol for her son's 15-year-old friend and having a sexual encounter with him at a Delaware vacation home over Labor Day weekend. The 47-year-old Shattuck is pleading not guilty.
