Former UPS Driver Gives Morgan State University $20 Million

BALTIMORE — Morgan State University today announced receipt of a $20 million commitment from alumnus and philanthropist Calvin E. DALLAS (AP) — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz says his family vacation to Mexico was “obviously a mistake” as he returned stateside following an uproar over his disappearance during a deadly winter storm.

The Republican senator said he began second-guessing the trip since the moment he first got on the plane Wednesday.

Maryland Senate OKs tax credit for immigrants

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland Senate has voted to extend a state tax credit for low-income workers to include immigrants, including those in the country illegally, as part of pandemic relief.

The Senate voted 32-15 Friday for the measure.

It now goes to the House. It's a follow-up to a separate relief measure that steers more than $1 billion measure to state residents.

Above the hum of the propeller, Joshua Weinstein calls my attention to the Boonton Reservoir, which provides water for Jersey City. We're flying about 2,000 feet above the tree-lined streets of northern Jersey, the Manhattan skyline visible through the haze in the distance.
