Maryland Novel Coronavirus Cases Skyrocket in 24-hour Period

The Maryland Department of Health Friday reported at largest, single day biggest jump in confirmed cases: 1,730 cases added since Thursday.

Over 97,00 Marylanders have tested negative for the virus; over 1,500 patients have been released from isolation. African-Americans are 35% of the 23,472 confirmed cases and roughly 40% of the 1,098 fatalities. Prince George's County leads the state with over 6,700 cases; Montgomery County has over 4,700; Baltimore County reports just over 3,000 cases; Baltimore City has just over 2,100 cases of COVID-19 and Anne Arundel County reports County reports just over 1,800 cases.
