BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Charm City Games is back!
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott announced Monday that the 2nd Annual Charm City Games competition will take place this summer.
Baltimore City Recreation & Parks’ (BCRP) week-long Olympic style athletic competition provides teens ages 12-14 the opportunity to compete in a variety of games including: soccer, basketball, track and field and tennis.
The teens will work with each other, BCRP and volunteer coaches to battle for the Charm City Cup.
Young athletes are invited to “rep their district” in the 2021 Charm City Games from July 10-16.
“The Inaugural Charm City Games in 2019 was a major success for the young residents of Baltimore and their families,” said Reginald Moore, executive director of Baltimore City Recreation and Parks. “Our agency is always ready to step up to the challenge of making sure our youth remain engaged and to provide innovative approaches to recreation. Charm City Games allows us to do just that, and we are so glad that we will see its return in 2021.”
