Gov. Hogan Announces VaxU Scholarship Promotion for Vaccinated Teens
BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — On Wednesday, Governor Larry Hogan announced a new promotion to increase the number of Maryland teens vaccinated.
At a press conference at University of Maryland College Park's Stamp Student Union , the governor announced teens who get vaccinated will be eligible for a $50,000 college scholarship.
The VaxU Scholarship Promotion consists of nine statewide drawings and offers vaccinated residents ages 12-17 a chance to win one of twenty scholarship prizes.
Between July 12, 2021 and September 5, 2021 two winners will be selected each Monday. On September 6, 2021, four winners will be selected.
We will award two scholarships every week for eight weeks through Labor Day when we will pick four winners, for a total of 20 drawings. Those who have already been vaccinated here at any time will automatically be entered to win.

If they decide to attend private or out-of-state school, scholarship can be transferred to school of choice.
