BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA)— Morgan State’s School of Global Journalism & Communication (SGJC) kicked off its first Radio News Writing Boot Camp for WEAA-FM student reporters.
Under the directive of Nicki Mayo, CEO of Nicki Mayo News LLC, a team of experienced journalists shared their media wisdom, advice and beneficial exercises to guide the aspiring correspondents along their journey to success.

“Student interns from the Morgan News Hour attended a weekend bootcamp. Radio professionals shared their knowledge about writing for radio with students,” said WEAA News Director Randy Reid. “The bootcamp was designed to improved their writing and reporting skills while interning at WEAA.”
The free training session was held Saturday, September 18 from 9-1 pm.
