(Baltimore, MD) -- In an about-face from an announcement this past week, the City of Baltimore is opening one of three pools that had been scheduled to be closed this summer.

The other two pools, the Cherry Hill and the Patterson Park pools, are still undergoing repairs and will remain closed.
City Recreations and Parks officials had blamed the closing of the pools on operational and infrastructure problems.
City Councilman Zeke Cohen had sharply criticized the closing the pools, saying with juvenile violence on the rise, Baltimore needs its pools open to keep kids off the streets.
