(Baltimore, MD) -- Another winter storm is headed for Baltimore.

Forecasters are issuing an alert for Tuesday as a powerful low pressure system moves into the region.

The system could bring up to four inches of heavy rain, which could fall within six hours on Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night.

Widespread flooding is expected, causing streams and rivers to overflow and flash flooding between DC and Baltimore, which could lead to road closures.

Damaging winds are also in the forecast, with 50-mile-an-hour wind gusts predicted and peak gusts as high as 70 miles per hour, causing tree damage and power outages.
