(Sterling, VA) -- Much of Maryland is bracing for the possibility of strong storms.
The National Weather Service has put the the state under a Level One risk for severe storms today. However, there's an increased risk for Thursday.
Forecasters say storms could produce damaging winds and hail, and isolated flooding is possible during times of heavy rain.
Meanwhile, a Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for late tonight and early Thursday morning for parts of the lower Eastern Shore.
