(Baltimore County, MD) -- New speed cameras are up and running in Baltimore County.
They went live yesterday in five school zones that include Cromwell Valley, Lyons Mill and Pretty Boy elementary schools, Franklin High School and Redeemer Classical Christian School.
Even though school is not in session, the cameras are in operation from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Drivers who exceed the speed limit by 12 miles-per-hour or more will receive warnings for the first 30 days but after that tickets will be issued.
All of the speed camera zones have been marked with signs.
