BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott announced over $2 million in additional funding will soon be available for caterers, restaurants and taverns impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Mayor Scott made the announcement Thursday morning.
The funds were made available by the State of Maryland and are restricted to COVID-related expenses.
“Small businesses are the backbone of a healthy Baltimore economy and our road to recovery must run through them”, said Scott.
Businesses will be able to apply for the grant beginning at midnight on May 17.
