Caught on Camera: Technology leads police to suspect in early morning shooting

Investigators say the early Tuesday morning, around 2:20 a.m., officers were on patrol when they heard gunshots coming from the 400 block of East ‪Baltimore Street. Officers immediately began to investigate and found a 31-year old man with gunshot wounds to his body. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Working with a City Watch camera operator, officers were able to locate the shooting suspect in the 600 block of Water Street. Officers also recovered a handgun.

Detectives from the Central District have charged 34-year old Traevon George with attempted murder, assault, and gun related charges. He was transported to the Central Booking and Intake Facility. No word on the victim’s condition.
