Baltimore Cease Fire is a city-wide call asking Baltimore residents to avoid having any murders through quarterly Ceasefires and Peace Challenges (Feb, May, August, and Nov). Their mantra is “Nobody kill anybody” during the quarterly events. The movement began in August 2017. During that first Cease Fire weekend, for a total of 67 out of 72 hours, no murders were recorded in Baltimore City.
Throughout the year, the movement serves as a hub for organizations and citizens to support one another, work together, and share resources, to see an end to murder in Baltimore City.
