BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) —As of Monday morning, Maryland health officials report 722 new cases of the coronavirus within the past 24 hours.
Currently 1,113 patients are hospitalized due to the virus. A decrease of 53 patients since Sunday.

The state’s positivity rate is 4.53%.
Records show 7,400 people have died from the coronavirus in Maryland.
The state remains in Phase 1C of its vaccination phase.
Maryland providers have now administered 893,860 COVID-19 vaccines, and 86.6% of all first doses received from the federal government have been given. The state’s daily average of doses administered has increased again to 27,732 shots per day. pic.twitter.com/ZgJnYMO3Xy
