BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) —Maryland health officials say more than 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the state.

Governor Larry Hogan tweeted, “I want to thank all the vaccinators working around the clock to get shots into arms, and ask Marylanders for their continued patience during this historic undertaking.”

The governor released a video message Friday morning to announce the milestone and to provide an update on the state's vaccine supply.

He says, " Maryland is fully prepared to deploy, distribute and utilize every single dose that we are allocated, and I will not rest until a vaccine is available for every Marylander who wants one".

Maryland is still in Phase 1C of its vaccination plan.
