(WEAA)— On Saturday, WEAA host Mykel Hunter, Downtown Kevin Brown and student interns Valencia Charmaine and Shyne Boggs participated in an event in honor of novelist, poet, activist James Baldwin.
Hosted by Station North Arts, ”JIMMY, JAZZ & JAM" was a mash-up of three events that were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The celebration featured a live musical performance, readings from James Baldwin's works and tastings of local jams served with southern-style biscuits.
The event was held at The Motorhouse on West North Avenue in Baltimore's Station North Arts district.
