Winners of the 2018 Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association contest were announced June 8, 2019, in Ocean City, Md. Twenty-two stations in Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C., submitted 277 entries in the contest. WEAA staff is proud to be honored in several categories:

CAPBA also awarded a $3000 scholarship to Susannah Outhier, a sophomore studying broadcast journalism at the University of Maryland in College Park. The Associated Press is a not-for-profit news cooperative representing 1,400 newspapers and 5,000 broadcast stations in the United States.
