According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, each year in the United states approximately 42,000 women and 510 men die from breast cancer.

Black women have a higher rate of death from breast cancer than White women.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the focus is on screening, access, treatment, support and hope.
