(Baltimore, MD) -- The family of a man killed by a squeegee worker is countering a defense claim that the 15-year-old suspect acted in self defense.

Attorney Thiru Vignarajah has released photos of the July confrontation near the Inner Harbor.

He says Timothy Reynolds was holding a bat when he approached the squeegee kids, but was hit in the head with a rock and was walking away when the suspect grabbed a gun from a bag, followed a disoriented Reynolds and shot him five times.

In August a grand jury indicted the teen for first-degree murder but the defense and City State's Attorney's Office have reached a plea agreement.

Under the deal, the murder charge would be reduced to manslaughter and the case would be moved from adult to juvenile court.

A judge must approve that deal and a hearing is set for Thursday.
