Addressing Crime and Trauma

Former Baltimore Police Commissioner Darryl DeSousa and retired Baltimore County Police Sergeant Izaac Hester fill in as guest hosts for Dr. Kaye.

The two discuss various topics including Indigenous People Day, the unrest in the Middle East, recent shootings at Morgan State and Bowie State, and community disconnection.

In the second half of the first hour, Derrick Chase, an educator, entertainment producer, and community activist also joins the conversation.

Throughout the show, participants emphasize the importance of open conversations, mentorship programs, and education in helping young people cope with violence.

They also discuss the importance of community, trust-building, and the need for a center for the advancement of the culture.
