Baltimore Police Department

It's been 10 months since a 2 month old baby was rushed to the hospital unresponsive. He died in September and just Friday, the Medical Examiners office has ruled the infants death a homicide.

FOP Lodge 3 says the men and women of the Police Department are losing faith in their elected and appointed leaders so it's preparing a comprehensive strategy to make Baltimore a safer place to live, work and visit.

An exchange of gunfire is leaving a Baltimore police officer injured and a suspect dead.  It happened around 6:30 yesterday evening in the 800 block of Vine Street. Detectives are not yet sure what led up to the shooting, but the officer and suspect exchanged gunfire.  The officer is suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the suspect was fatally shot.

The task force reviewing civilian oversight of the department is calling for a more powerful independent police accountability agency to replace the existing Civilian Review Board.
