Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to sentence Catherine Pugh to nearly five years in prison. Pugh attorneys are requesting a sentence of one year and a day for the city's 50th mayor.  U.S. District Judge Deborah K. Chasanow has scheduled sentencing at 10:00 a.m.

Federal prosecutors have told a judge that former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh should spend nearly five years in prison after she pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy and tax evasion.  

Former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh will be sentenced in February in the "Healthy Holly" book scandal that led to her resignation.  Pugh pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy and tax evasion. She admitted to using the sales of her "Healthy Holly" children's books to fund her mayoral campaign through straw donors and to purchase her home. She also admits to cheating on her taxes.  She's set to be sentenced on February 27th.
