BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) —The Covid 19 pandemic has affected immigration on a global scale.

Travel and immigration in the United States has been significantly altered by the pandemic. 

The extended process and uncertainty has created anxiety for many immigrants and their families. 

In 2020, former President Donald Trump issued several immigration bans and restrictions that President Joe Biden has started to lift.

 Immigration and criminal law attorney Raymond O. Griffith, son of immigrants from Barbados, joins Claudette Lindsay for the discussion. 

Griffith was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York with strong immigrant roots. He graduated from Morgan State University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications.

He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Maryland School Of Law in 1997 and is licensed to practice law by the Maryland Court of Appeals. 

Attorney Raymond Griffith is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Maryland State Bar Association.
