Paris Terror Attack

The White House is condemning a terror attack on a Paris magazine that left at least 12 people dead, including the editor. U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is condemning the deadly attack on the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo as "a horrendous, unjustifiable and cold-blooded crime."

Potential Social Security Disability Funds Shortfall

One of the new rules in the Republican-led house could give rise to an election issue next year involving millions of Social Security Disability recipients. The trust fund for disability funds could run out in 2016 because of benefits to aging baby boomers, but the rule won’t allow Congress to redirect payroll taxes from Social Security’s much larger retirement fund unless it’s part of a larger overhaul.
