COVID-19 in Maryland: 722 new cases, hospitalizations decline

BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) —As of Monday morning, Maryland health officials report 722 new cases of the coronavirus within the past 24 hours. 

Currently 1,113 patients are hospitalized due to the virus. A decrease of 53 patients since Sunday.

 

 

The state’s positivity rate is 4.53%. 

 

Records show 7,400 people have died from the coronavirus in Maryland.

 

The state remains in Phase 1C of its vaccination phase.
