BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — In honor of Women’s History Month, Dr. Kaye celebrates former Maryland Senator Barbara Robinson. 

“It took me 18 years to get my bachelor’s degree", Barbara says.

 

The businesswoman, author, and educator shares her captivating journey from cleaning homes in Alabama to holding a seat as an influential senator in Maryland. 

 

“We have to stop allowing ourselves to depend on another culture or another race of people to help us when we have everything that we need already in our own system, in our own culture, in our own neighborhood, in our own selves. It bothers me that we don’t look at our own capabilities and see what we actually can do…”
