As of Friday morning, more than 209,000 people have tested positive for the coronavirus in Maryland.
Data shows, 62,197 of those positive cases are among African-Americans.
Dr. Kaye also spoke with Baltimore City Health Commsioner Letitia Dzirasa.
According to officials, 25,686 coronavirus cases have been reported in Baltimore City.
