A Baltimore police officer is in critical condition after being ambushed and shot while sitting in her patrol vehicle.

The shooting happened overnight in south Baltimore on Pennington Avenue.

Police say the suspect approached Officer Keona Holley, a two year veteran, and opened fire. She was shot multiple times.
