(WEAA)— A “ghost gun” was recovered at Forest Park High School on Thursday.

Sgt. Clyde Boatwright, president of Baltimore School Police Union says this is the 15th gun and 4th ghost gun seized from a Baltimore City student this school year.

Maryland’s ban on the sale of ghost guns went into effect on June 1, 2022.

That same day, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott announced a lawsuit against ghost gun manufacturer Polymer80, which accounts for 91% of all seized ghost guns in Baltimore.

Sgt. Boatwright joins Dr. Kaye to weigh in on ghost guns, misdemeanor gun possession charges, and firearms laws.
