(WEAA) — On March 9, state officials released the 2022 Maryland School Report Card.

Schools are rated from a low of one star to a high of five stars based on performance.

"Schools earn stars based on the percentage of points earned on four indicators at the elementary and middle school levels: Academic Achievement, Academic Progress, Progress Toward English Language Proficiency, and School Quality and Student Success; and five indicators at the high school level: Academic Achievement, Academic Progress, Progress Toward English Language Proficiency, Graduation Rate, and School Quality and Student Success." - maryland.gov

Results of a statewide school survey, which was taken by students in grades 5 through 11 and educators are included in the report.
