(WEAA)— African American Policy Forum (AAPF) kicked off their Books Unbanned HBCU Tour at Morgan State University on Wednesday.

AAPF, a social justice think tank known for its innovative ideas and perspectives, is bringing this initiative to select HBCU campuses in honor of Black History Month.

The tour aims to fight educational censorship in all its forms and advocates for a multiracial democracy that protects the freedom to learn.

AAPF was on Morgan State's campus from 1-6pm, offering free books and engaging with students and faculty in discussions about the importance of academic freedom and diversity in literature.

The organization says over 400 books were given away during the event.
