Maryland lawmakers are proposing a curfew for clubs and adult entertainment venues on East Baltimore Street, citing a rise in crime.
The legislation would close businesses on “The Block” at 10 p.m.
Dolly Brown, a club employee says,
“I think it’s ridiculous that they are trying to shut us down at 10 p.m. when just last night, in Fells point, there was a man killed after midnight. Why aren’t they shutting them down?… Why are we being targeted?”
