(WEAA)—Kidney disease is a condition characterized by loss of kidney function over time. The organs are damaged and are unable to filter blood the way they should.

According to the National Kidney Foundation, many factors contribute to an increased risk of developing kidney disease.

Tisha Guthrie—a transplant recipient, National Kidney Foundation Serving Maryland and Delaware (NKFMMDDE) board member and fitness instructor —and Demond Nicholson— a local boxing champion and celebrity ambassador for Santé— join Two Way Talk to share stories of their fight against kidney failure, early signs to look out for and the importance of listening to your body.
