(WEAA) Actor, producer and storyteller Tim Reid joined Robert Shahid Tuesday on WEAA 88.9 to discuss his new network, "Legacy of a People".
The network will showcase content for, by and about the African diaspora.
“Media worldwide is undergoing dramatic change as it defines social, economic and cultural perceptions for billions of people on a daily basis. I believe that in this atmosphere of media consumption, fragmented audiences, and consolidation of media ownership, lies a critical need to identify new strategies and models for those who passionately seek to tell culturally significant stories", said Tim Reid.
During his interview with Robert Shahid, the filmmaker also discussed the value of knowing your history, the significance of traveling, childhood memories and how certain cultures are forced to live in survival mode.
Legacy of a People will feature documentaries, lifestyles and fashion, stories from the Motherland, comedy, animation, sports and more.
