WEAA's Julius White has the local news: Howard County Sheriff James Fitzgerald is resigning after a critical Office of Human Rights report described the sexist and racist comments he made in the work environment. The family of Korryn Gaines has made changes to the lawsuit filed against Baltimore county and the police force, and two more officers who went to serve warrants on Gaines are now named in the wrongful death lawsuit.
The family's attorney contends that initial entry into the apartment was illegal, and that police could have used a non violent option.
