Local News: Sessions Requests Delay of Consent Decree Hearing; Gov. Hogan Bans Fracking in MD

Federal lawmakers from Maryland are asking the Justice Department to withdraw the request for a 90 day delay in finalizing the consent decree on reforms of the Baltimore Police Department. In a news conference yesterday, Mayor Catherine Pugh said the city is moving forward with police reforms despite Attorney General Sessions’ request for a delay. And, Governor Larry Hogan has signed a bill to ban fracking in Maryland.
