The jury began deliberating Thursday after  nearly three weeks of hearing from disgraced police detectives who were once part of an elite Baltimore Police unit --and now disbanded gun trace task force, drug dealers and a shady bail bondsman.

The highlights of the trial included the testimony four ex-detectives who were part of the unit against the two defendant, Daniel Hersl and Marcus Taylor.  They're accused of robbing citizens and drug dealers and committing overtime fraud. If convicted, Hersl and Taylor face up to life in prison.University of Maryland law professor and trial observer Doug Colbert talked with WEAA's Julius White about what's being called one of the worst cases of police corruption in recent memory.
