Baltimore City Police say 23-year old Demetrius Thompson was arrested Wednesday morning on attempted murder charges in connection with the domestic related shooting of a 22 year old woman early Friday morning. On social media Wednesday morning, other than thanking the public for their tips--no further details were immediately made available.
Police at approximately 6:03 a.m. Friday, Central District patrol officers responded to the unit block of Light Street for a report of a shooting. Once at the location, officers located a female suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Investigators say the victim was transported to an area hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking in the unit block of Light Street when she was approached by an unidentified suspect that produced a gun and shot the victim in the face.
