Equal Pay Day: Black women and the pay gap

BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) —Dr. Kaye weighs in on Equal Pay Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of the gender pay gap, and how she feels it does not include all women.

“It is only Equal Pay Day for white women and to call it all women when you actually mean white women, is racist… It is no longer acceptable to say women and to assume that all women are included in that definition, because we’re not.”
