BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Is it time to abolish the police?

 

Daunte Wright, a 20-year-old Black man was stopped by Minnesota police on Sunday for —according to a police chief— having an expired registration on the vehicle. During the encounter, Daunte was shot and killed.

According to CNN, 2nd Lt. Caron Nazario, who is Black and Latino, is suing two Virginia police officers after they pointed guns at him, pepper sprayed him and pushed him to the ground during a traffic stop last December for what the officers believed was a missing license plate on his vehicle.
