BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Maryland health officials are reporting 501 new coronavirus cases within 24 hours.
According to reports, Tuesday marks the sixth consecutive day of fewer than 1,000 new cases.
Currently, 944 patients are hospitalized due to COVID-related complications. A decrease of nine patients since Monday morning.
Data shows, 7 more people have died from the virus. Maryland has lost 8,612 people to COVID-19.
More than 1,000 COVID-related deaths have been reported in Baltimore City and more than 1,400 deaths have been reported in Baltimore County and Prince George’s County.
The state’s positivity rate is 3.82%.
