BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) —Maryland health officials say 276 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported since Sunday morning.
According to records, this is the lowest number of newly confirmed cases since July 6, 2020.
State health officials say virus-related hospitalizations have dropped under 800 for the first time since March 15.
Governor Larry Hogan says hospitalizations are down 59.1% from their winter peak.
Maryland’s positivity rate has dropped to 3.06%, the lowest level since October 23.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 64.5% of adults in Maryland have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
