Two Way Talk: Fighting violent crime in Baltimore City

BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Two Way Talk is WEAA’s newest talk show.

The evening program which airs Monday-Friday from 5-7, is hosted by Anthony McCarthy, former spokesman for Baltimore City mayors and Cara Williams, a former Baltimore City police officer and current senior at Morgan State University. 

In the first hour, former Mayor Sheila Dixon, joins the hosts to discuss Baltimore crime and how under her administration, the city was able to bring homicide numbers down. 

In the second hour, Erricka Bridgeford, a co-organizer of Baltimore Ceasefire reflects on the murders of Safe Streets workers and ways the community can assist in stopping the violence.

Later in the show, Anthony Barksdale, former Baltimore City Deputy Commissioner also joins Anthony and Cara to share his thoughts on how to curb crime and increase public safety.
