(WEAA) —“I never imagined that my pain would evolve into something powerful…”

Baltimore native Tyde Edwards is a sexual assault survivor and the founder of Ballet After Dark, a wellness program that provides holistic dance therapy to survivors of stalking, sexual and intimate partner violence.

As a result of recognizing the lack of prevention and recovery services for Black women in Baltimore, Edwards, a trained ballerina created the alternative therapeutic platform.

Ballet After Dark , located on N. Liberty Street, offers a variety of dance therapy and self defense classes as well as community workshops to empower women and youth.
