On Wednesday, Senate Republicans blocked the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, denying it the 60 votes needed to advance and start debate.

The John Lewis voting bill, named after the late Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) is aimed at fighting voter suppression and updating key parts of the Voting Rights Act, originally passed in 1965.

Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen joins Two Way Talk to discuss the legislation and how it affects voting rights.
