(WEAA)— Wynton Marsalis is an internationally acclaimed musician, composer, educator and advocate of American culture.

At age 17, he became the youngest musician ever to be admitted to Tanglewood’s Berkshire Music Center.

The New Orleans native has won nine Grammy Awards and in 1997 became the first jazz musician to ever to win the Pulitzer Prize for Music.
