Wizards hold open practice at Morgan State

(WEAA)— On Monday morning, students, faculty and local fans gathered inside Morgan State University’s Hill Field House to watch the Washington Wizards’ annual open practice.

It was the first practice the team held at an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities).

During the event, fans were also able to enjoy a dunk contest, half-court shooting contest, a performance from the Wizards Dancers and G-Wiz the mascot, a t-shirt giveaway and more.

The Wizards, formerly known as the Bullets, played in Baltimore from 1963 to 1973 before moving to Washington.
